Gardeners, do you ever go out among your plants thinking “I’ll just do this one thing” and leave your gloves behind? Then 2 (blissful) hours later, you’ve repotted 6 plants, cut back the bougainvillea and relocated a shrub that needs more sunlight. All without the gloves. Leaving you with a beautiful garden AND wrecked hands.

Farmers have a similar skin fate, what with milking livestock, hauling feed, handling ropes and fences and using tools. Hard-working hands!

In the name of flowers, veggies and fresh organic eggs, here’s a fragrant, healing, hand-crafted salve for you and your hands. With the healing properties of carrier oils that moisturize the skin, coconut oil – known for antibacterial & anti-fungal properties, beeswax for hydration and protection, and essential oils of bergamot, geranium, sandalwood, tea tree and lavender, all well-known for their natural analgesic (important because the fingers have many nerve endings and are acutely sensitive to injury) and antibacterial properties. It smells good, it feels good on your skin, helps facilitate healing, and provides a layer of protection and hydration to allow tissues to heal naturally. Can be used under a bandaid to continue repairing tissues while you work.

**BONUS USE: our customers tell us Rachel’s hand salve makes an excellent tattoo healing balm!**

100 pure, 99% organic.

Available in 2oz metal tins with screw-top lids.

Ingredients: organic sweet almond (Prunus amygdalus var. dulcis) and/or grapeseed oil (Vitis vinifera), organic coconut oil (cocos nucifera), organic beeswax (cera flava from the honeybee apis mellifera), non-gmo vitamin e (tocopherol from vegetable fats), organic essential oils of bergamot, geranium, sandalwood, tea tree and lavender.

What it does not contain: Anything artificial, ever.

Directions for use: to soften & soothe minor cuts and abrasions inflicted by thorns, twigs, brambles and tools, gently massage salve into skin as often as needed until area is healed. Also great as a tattoo aftercare ointment!

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE SUMMER: During warmer months, your Rachel’s Gardeners Salve may melt and separate a little. This is totally okay, and the salve is still in perfect working shape, it’s just that the coconut oil and touch of beeswax that gives it it’s consistency do sometimes give in to heat. In addition, it is highly likely that, after sitting in a hot delivery truck all day, it will reach you in this melty state. If you want to reset and firm it, just give it a good stir and leave it (closed tightly) in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. That should bring it back to its solid state.
Available in 2oz metal tins with screw-top lids.

Anticipated shelf life: up to 1 year from date of purchase. For best results, store in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight.

This stuff is AMAZING! Luckily a good friend of mine owns this wonderful company, so when I was in a horrible bicycle accident, she sent me this for my road rash. Compared to using neosporin (which is what I was using prior to receiving this), it was 100 times faster and better on this healing process. It also smells incredible!!!! Now I use it around my eyes to remove makeup and moisturize! :):):)

This is my favorite product. I garden a lot, and I was always getting little cuts and rough spots on my hands and arms. And when I opened it, I loved the smell, but I wasn’t sure about how much it would heal. But after using it for 2 days, this one cut that kept getting opened over and over actually started to close up! It also seems like it protects it, which is probably the beeswax, because I’ve read it is good for that. Long story short, I found myself using it every day, and now the skin on my hands is softer, smoother, and things heal a lot quicker. I think the backs of my hands look younger, too. But really, it smells sooooo good.
